The sound of a big engine on your vehicle, without touching the exhaust line. The Maxhaust Active Sound system recreates the sound character of your choice, controlled from your smartphone.

How it works

A sound character, electronic and reversible

The Maxhaust system consists of a sound generator, a high-performance actuator fitted under the vehicle near the exhaust, and an electronic module connected to the ECU. The module reads engine speed, engine load and vehicle speed in real time, then plays back a sound consistent with your driving. The original exhaust line stays in place: nothing is cut or modified.

Sound profiles of your choice

Several sounds are available, from the rumble of a big naturally aspirated block to sharper, sportier notes. You choose the profile, set the volume, then switch the sound on or off from the mobile app. A discreet mode lets you return to the original silence in town or at night.

Compatible with almost everything

Petrol, diesel, hybrid and even electric: active sound adapts to most vehicles, because it is independent of the powertrain. It is the ideal solution to add character to a downsized or quiet engine, with no effect on emissions.

Active sound

Does active sound modify my exhaust?

No. The sound generator is added under the vehicle, alongside the original line, which stays intact. The installation is fully reversible.

Does active sound affect emissions?

No. Active sound is purely electronic and acts neither on the engine nor on the exhaust gases. It has no effect on emissions.

Can I turn the sound off whenever I want?

Yes. From the app, you can switch the sound on, adjust it or turn it off at any time, for instance in a residential area.

Does active sound work on an electric vehicle?

Yes. As it is independent of the powertrain, it can give a sound presence to an electric or hybrid vehicle.
