Why a remap can lower fuel consumption
A remapped engine delivers more torque low down. In practice, you get the same push while asking less of the engine: you rev less, you change down less often, you hold the gears longer. At a steady pace, on the motorway or on long trips, that means a more relaxed engine, and therefore a thirstier one no more.
At the same driving style, or nothing
This is the key condition, and we say it plainly: the fuel saving assumes you drive as you did before. If you use the extra torque to accelerate harder and more often, the gauge will not drop, and might even rise. The "eco" benefit rewards a smooth, anticipatory style, not the fun at every green light.
Where the saving is clearest
The more a vehicle runs, the more this matters. That is why diesels, vans, trucks and tractors come first: on a fleet that works all year, a few percent less fuel quickly turns into thousands of euros. For professionals, we steer the map towards economy and low-end torque, which is the whole point of our fleet and agricultural offer. On the car side, petrol or diesel remapping can also ease the bill, depending on your use.
We measure it, we do not promise it
No one can guarantee a fuel figure in advance: it depends on the vehicle, the route and the driver. What we can do is measure. Every job goes on our dyno, with before-and-after readings, and we watch how the engine really behaves. You leave with concrete data, not a marketing estimate.
What about E85 ethanol?
If your first goal is simply to drive for less, there is another, complementary lever: E85 ethanol conversion, a fuel that is markedly cheaper at the pump, for compatible petrol engines. Remapping and E85 answer two different logics; we advise the one that suits your vehicle and your budget.
